CFB week 3

Ole Miss v LSU is certainly a huge game, but Lane should still be in Oxford.

You don't just leave a team who has a chance to go far in the playoff and potentially win a national championship. I can't definitely say Ole Miss would've won it all if Lane had stayed, but a team in that position has got to stay together and keep that cohesion. Seems like nobody sticks with their team like they used to years ago. People always got to look for greener pastures.

I remember LeBron's big decision to head to Miami in 2010. Just recently he had another similar circumstance. He held the NBA schedulers in his hand. They didn't even want to release it until he figured out where he wanted to go. Michael Jordan was with the same franchise in Chicago until just the last couple years of his career. He didn't try to leave after his first championship. He gave that town not 1, not 2, but 6 rings!

Back to Lane Kiffin, he's always looking for ways out for one reason or another. He had a nice 9-win season in Knoxville then he leaves in the strangest way just because his dream job came open at USC.

All that said, what's done is done. May the best team win in Oxford Saturday night. But I'm hoping the Rebels can defend their home turf, show Coach Kiffin he may have to rethink leaving there, and make it back to the playoff this year having another shot at the run they had last year, which is rare. And Lord knows, maybe Coach Kiffin can actually last a good 10-15 years in Baton Rouge and show that he can stick to a team more and not just find the fast Lane outta town!

Secondly, why are we still scheduling these cupcake games especially in week 3 and beyond? Kennesaw State? Troy? UTSA? I know these programs need money but when you go nonconference in the SEC or ACC you want people to be still excited about big games. It's just hard to get jacked about Wagner at Cal or Kent State at Ohio State. App State over Michigan could happen but that a rare occurrence.

Thirdly, enjoy the games everyone. Look out MIchigan...UTEP is comin!

On to Baltimore

So this Titans team has talent but still not sure how to finish and just make enough plays to win a game. Cam has to make better decisions in the red zone. He has made some nice plays for us so far bu

On to Philly

Well, it's obvious the Titans have much work to do. I'm hoping this was just another tune-up, like another preseason game. First, we couldn't buy a first down on offense. Nobody had over 50 yards exce
